Hi may I know who's the anonymous who commented "I'm getting you a tutor to teach u maths and science. Lessons will start next week. xoxo"? I really need to know who :B Need help here lol.
By the way, today is the last Sunday of 2011. Man why is it so fast? It's almost 2012! My gosh. This feels scary. Whatever it is, I'm kinda excited but still not really ready to face it. My sister got me Math tuition. The teacher come to my house every Saturday. The teacher's name is Teacher Nur Khairul, maybe that's the spelling. She's cool yeah I hope I can score Math. But I need more tutor. Hi, need tutor here, anyone? Lol.
Did I tell you I finished Does My Head Look Big In This? weeks ago? Yeah that book is hilarious :-) Thanks, Mai for that. That book makes me more proud of being a Muslim. And that girl, Amal, she's a Muslim, lives in Australia but she still can being responsible as a Muslim. Not some Muslims who lives in Islam country but act like not really a Muslim. I mean like, come on. Pray 5 times, wear hijjab, remained untouch without kiss or whatever with anyone even she lives in Australia. Because she's a Muslim. Believe in what she believes. Although there are some racist there, she's still strong and all. I salute her for that, even if she's a fictional character, I salute the author, Randa Abdel Fattah for writing such a great novel.
I want to write a review about Dead Beautiful. I'm sorry if it's not really interesting for you. Well, for me I like it. I mean, it's kinda like dark romance thingy, of course it's my favourite lol. Okay, I promise there will be no spoiler alert because I will not tell the ending hahaha. Sorry for bad grammar :3
So it's start from Renee Winters's 16th birthday party. Her last name took from her mother's last name because in her mom's family, from generation they use "Winters" last name. When she was on the way to her home with her best friend, they decided to take shortcut. Renee saw her parents' car in a red forest, so she wanted find where her parents were. Her parents were teachers so she can't help from wondering what in the world her parents' car were there? She kept on walking and walking until she found both her parents dead. There was this gauze in their mouth and coins everywhere.
It was kind of weird how easily Renee found her parents because their dead body were kind of far from the car and Renee was like knew what she was doing and where she headed. After her parents died, her grandfather took care of her. She kind of hated her grandfather. Her grandfather wanted to send Renee to Gottfried Academy, a boarding school. Renee didn't want to but her grandfather insisted. Gottfried Academy was located in Maine, so it was really far. Renee lived in California. The next day, they went to the academy.
The school's kinda stricted. Stricted dress code and all. Some of the rules I remember were; after curfew, don't ever switch on the light. Have to use candles because something like darkness is..... I forgot already!! Ha k. Strictly no love relationship. (there's a reason why, you just have to read it)
There was this guy, Dante Berlin. He never talked to anyone. Renee's roommate, Eleanor said he never talk to anyone since his friend, Benjamin died. Weirdly enough, Benjamin died in the same way as her parents were. Before Renee, Eleanor's roommate was Cassandra, friend of Benjamin and Dante, but she disappeared and no one knows where she. The professors said Cassandra was transferred.
Dante and his ex-friends were always speaks in Latin. Latin was known as The Language of The Dead. (let me remind you; this is not what you expected. I know what you're thinking. I thought of that too but no, you're wrong. I was wrong.) Weird enough Dante talks to her. Only. They began dating but Dante never kissed her. He always refused and avoided to kiss Renee.
So what makes this book interesting is how I feel so curious about why they died in the same way, why Dante never wanted to kiss Renee, who was Cassandra and Benjamin, where was Cassandra and all.
Okay that's all I can say. Hahahaha ok sorry if it's boring. I'm not really confident in myself. And I absolutely feels like my grammar sucks. And my vocabulary... blergh.
That's all I can say. Oh, wish me luck for PMR! :-) Wish me luck for the trial, too. InsyaAllah.
